A seasoned, entrepreneurial professional, Sheri Tarr is uniquely positioned at the intersection of life sciences, commercialization and compliance. She first held leadership positions in sales and marketing with global responsibility in Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Sheri then became an attorney who spent her career in the courtroom holding pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers accountable for deceptive marketing practices, defective manufacturing and other regulatory violations. More inspired by innovation than litigation, Sheri founded ’68 Partners, a consultancy dedicated to helping life sciences, hemp and cannabis companies, successfully build and grow sustainable businesses that have a transformative impact on patient care and the global economy.
Shei has amassed over 30 years of real-world experience commercializing products in an FDA-regulated environment – from concept to consumer to exit – and a deep understanding of the many complex organizational, business and regulatory challenges faced by industry stakeholders. She has also witnessed first-hand the adverse consequences to companies and consumers that result from a misalignment of these priorities. Using her deep industry and legal know-how, Sheri works with clients to develop commercialization strategies and regulatory pathways that balance business objectives with foreseeable risk.
Sheri’s specialties include holistic business advisory; commercialization strategy and regulatory guidance; compliance intelligence and best practices; risk assessment and mitigation; branding, marketing and promotion of FDA-regulated products, strategic partnering and alliance-building; vetting of prospective partners and transactions; and advocacy before critical audiences. Over the course of her career, Sheri’s work has involved products that cover the spectrum of life sciences, including CBD-containing products from topicals to tinctures to foods, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, personalized medicine, biomarker technologies, SaaS sales training systems, and beyond. Her clients include innovators. emerging and small-cap companies, C-suites, venture investors, board members, and service providers.
A University of Michigan alum and Chicago-Kent College of Law graduate, Sheri serves on the Boards of life sciences companies, advises Haitian entrepreneurs about business strategy, and speaks frequently about maintaining a Culture of Compliance™ throughout the product life-cycle, as well as The 3Cs of Commercialization™ in a regulated environment.
