Jeff Michalski is a leading authority on cannabis finance for dispensaries and industry organizations. With extensive expertise in P&L oversight, treasury and cash management, M&A transactions and integration, tax planning, internal and external audits, and risk management, he has directed and implemented leading programs across industry spectrums. He is an expert consultant in insurance coverage and product liability, utilizing a comprehensive background in forecasting, financial modeling capacity planning, product costing, budget systems implementations, and business development.
In his most recent role as Vice President of Finance for Native Roots one of the country’s largest cannabis dispensaries, he led the company’s financial function and affairs to ensure compliance with bank, state and federal taxes, insurance, and other reporting requirements. Jeff provided guidance and leadership to the executive team on financial, new product, and operational matters pertaining to various growth and cost-control initiatives.
Previously, Jeff led financial teams as the top financial executive at major organizations including his role as Corporate Controller at Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. overseeing finance and accounting for U.S. and Mexico operations. And as Divisional CFO for SuzoHapp Group.
Additionally, he has a long history of financial roles overseeing planning for Brunswick Corporation, Citrico Holdings Inc., ReeseMcMahon LLC, McGladrey & Pullen, and Grant Thornton, LLP in Illinois.
He moved to Evergreen, Colorado last year to bring his expertise to the cannabis industry and indulge his passion for skiing and fly fishing. With his wife Karin he is the proud pet parent to Barkley and Bella volunteering with greyhound rescue.
